Your ultimate packing for uni checklist

Packing for university can be overwhelming, so we've put together an essential packing list for you. 

Don't worry if you do forget something, there are plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby where you'll be able to get what you need easily whether you're a home or international student.

Important documents

This includes things like: 

• Proof of ID for ID check/visa checkpoint

If you're a UK student: passport or UK long birth certificate

If you're an EEA or Swiss student: passport or national identity card, plus your Student Visa if a Share Code has not been provided in advance

If you're an international student: passport and visa

• Official University of Leicester documents, including your acceptance letter
• Finance and bank information such as a bank statement or sponsor's letter
• Accommodation documents such as confirmation of your confirmation, arrival slot and address details

Bedroom

Your room will come with the basics which include a bed, wardrobe, study drawers, bedside tables and shelves, a desk and chair, and wastepaper bin.
