Finding the most productive study spot for you can be a real game-changer during exam season. To help you find the perfect spot for you, here's our list of some of the best student-friendly cafés within walking distance of campus.
Bondade Goodness

Looking for somewhere with fresh vegan or vegetarian food and drinks to keep your energy levels up? Bondade Goodness has got you covered.
Only a 10-minute walk from campus, this is a great place to stop off for a bit of extra study in a cosy atmosphere. If you are feeling a bit peckish, their diverse and affordable menu won't disappoint. Expect vegan and veggie breakfast options, burgers, wraps, loaded fries, salads, snacks and more – not to mention their selection of coffees and teas.
Bru Coffee
📍20 – 22 Granby Street, LE1 1DE
Voted one of the best coffee shops in the city, this should be on the top of your coffee shop list. Only a 20-minute walk from campus and open from early morning until late at night, whether you're an early bird or night owl this is a great café for everyone's study routine.
Northern Cobbler
📍104 Queens Road, LE2 3FL
Located in Clarendon Park, this is a popular spot for those staying in student accommodation as the area is filled with affordable and student-friendly cafés and restaurants. As a speciality coffee roasters too, you know their coffee is going to be good.
On the sunny days you can even work outside on their canopied veranda!
St Martin's Coffee Shop
📍2 – 6 Saint Martin's Walk, St Martin's Square, LE1 5DG
Running across two stories with an outdoor seating area, you should be able to find a seat easily here. If you're planning on studying through lunch, their menu is also a must-try with a range of pastries, cakes and hearty brunch options. Just be aware that they're only open until 3/4pm on select days throughout the week.
Leicester's coffee scene is incredibly diverse, so no matter how you study you shouldn't struggle to find a spot that suits you.
