A new process for post collection will begin soon (20/01/25) in The City accommodation. Amazon parcel’s which are not selected to be delivered to the Amazon Lockers in the Multistorey Car Park will be sent directly to Nixon Court instead of the Freemen’s Common reception.
33 Putney Road, Leicester, LE2 7TG
What’s changing?
In the City accommodation, any Amazon parcels will be delivered to Nixon Court Post Lockers room where they will be placed into a storage locker by the delivery driver. Then, every 2 days, a member of our team will log the parcels and place them into one of our university lockers, instead of manually processing them in Freemen’s reception.
How will I get notified when my parcel has arrived?
You will get an email from Koloni with a unique pickup code when your parcel is ready to collect. Remember to check your junk mail for the access code in case it is sent there.
How do I collect my parcel?
- Go to the Nixon Court Post Lockers.
- Use the touchpad in the centre of the lockers and select “Pick up”, and enter your unique code.
- The locker will open and you can take your parcel. Make sure to close the locker securely after.
Do I need to change my delivery details?
No, you do not need to use the Nixon Court Post Lockers address (Putney Road). You should still use your full room address.
To avoid delays, please make sure you order using the following details:
- You full name
- Your full address
- Your student ID number
How long will I have to collect my parcel?
You must collect your parcel(s) within 72 hours after getting the email that your parcel is ready to collect. If you don’t, there may be delays in picking up your parcel due to removing the parcel and having to transfer and store the parcel elsewhere:
- First delay: Up to 48 more hours
- Second delay: Up to 120 hours (5 days) for missed collection
To avoid this, please collect your parcel as soon as possible after receiving the email.
If you know you will be away for longer than the advised collection time, we suggest that you avoid ordering a parcel until you know you are able to collect it as soon as possible.
If you need to collect your Amazon parcel immediately after the delivery driver has dropped it off, we suggest using the Amazon lockers in the Freemen’s Common car park to avoid waiting up to 2 days for the parcel to be logged into a university locker by our member of staff.
