Study in the sun on and off campus ☀ïļðŸ“š

With the weather slowly getting better and temperatures rising, it's time to get outdoors and study in the sunshine.

Here are some places around Leicester that have that perfect study vibe.

On campus

Study Pods 🛖

These pods are perfect for studying when you're waiting for the weather to warm up. Especially with UK weather, it can look sunny and warm, but then a huge gust of wind comes by, and your lecture notes are everywhere! It's a great way to get outdoors on campus until summer hits.

Botanic Garden 🊷

A hidden gem of campus, filled with rare plants, themed gardens and peaceful walking trails, its beautiful surroundings make for a calming study session.

Off campus

Victoria Park ðŸŒđ

Right beside campus, Victoria Park is a lovely open space filled with formal flowerbeds as well as shaded spots by trees - perfect for enjoying some group or alone studying.

Nelson Mandela Park 🏃‍♂ïļ

The park is named in honour of Nelson Mandela, the former African president and sports a large patch of greenery where you're bound to find a chill spot to sit down and study when the sun shines.

There's also an outdoor gym for adults and is a popular area for local run clubs - so if you enjoy a bit of background noise when revising, this is a go-to spot.

Abbey Park ðŸŒģ

Hugging the banks of the River Soar, Abbey Park is a beautiful green space to relax in and have a study session in the sun. There are many things to see around the park, too, so if you need a little break from your notebooks, it can be a nice place to stretch your legs and find a new study spot.

Knighton Park ðŸŠī

This popular and diverse green space is perfect for putting on your headphones, opening your laptop and letting the city life fade into the background. Surrounded by flowerbeds and woodlands, it makes a great, peaceful spot to focus on any upcoming assignments.

Leicester has plenty of parks and outdoor areas on and off campus for study sessions, so grab your notebooks and pens and start studying!
